One more question to sources: Can you please let us know when exactly Panasonic and Olympus will announce the stuff tomorrow? Please use London time as reference…thanks :)

  • Tom

    First! But…not to preorder :(

  • shucks…

those camera links don’t work :(

    • admin

  • Napilopez

Hey admin, only the last link(for the 12mm) is working =P Just thought I’d let you know

  • Nickaboom

Good news for me is the price is in dollars not euros!!! :D

  • stickytape

Someone mentioned playing around with the model numbers and there being a grey E-PL5 or something? Do we know what the model numbers are?

  • Napilopez

It’s funny what a tiny diffference in angle will do. These cams look MUCH better from this slightly angled view than from the direct front view previously posted. Look very thin too.

I really really feel like entry levelcams should have integraed flash units though…

  • Dave

So for the 60mm macro thats the equivalent of £307. Anyone care to speculate what the usual UK rip-off price is going to be cos it sure as hell won’t be that low.

  • Mft_fan

Holy cow, the 12mm “special” edition has a special price of $1099?!!! Is this for real?

    • c.d.embrey

Not a very smart thing to do. Thei base will see it as a rip-off, and pissing-off the base is the last thing a company should do.

  • Sergey

The 60mm contains the lens hood?

  • Agrivar

Hey admin. I’m from Asia and still get redirected to a scam site when I type Can u check?

    • admin

Checking. Mobile theme may be hacked. I am trying to solve this. It’s a plugin issue.

      • Henrik

The Mobile page hasnt been working for me for a verrrrry long time. I always forget to ask about it tho :)

  • 499 $ for the 60 mm macro f/2.8 ?

Very strange…In France, it will cost 599 euros.

    • Chris

yeah i guess we’ll have to order overseas…

  • Mr. Reeee

    Where’s the 15mm f8?

  • cab10886

So.. if the price difference between the E-PM2 and the E-PL5 is going to be only $100, then it’s worthwhile waiting a bit and buying the E-PL5 rather than the E-PM2

  • Neonart

$499 for the 60 macro! That’s better than most thought. Let’s hope it performs.

  • If Sony-Olympus agreement goes through, I wonder how long Olympus will support m4/3 format… Guess trend will gradually be 1 inch sensor for compact and APS-C for evil cameras.

    • you do realise that once Olympus goes APS or FF, they need to restart with their lens line-up from scratch? its weird that quite a bunch of people are longing for a bigger sensor olympus camera.

  • abucci

$1099 for paint and a lens hood?

so this is how olympus deals with the financial blunders of its board, it punishes the end user by putting some black paint on a $799 lens -overpriced imho – and a $90 lens hood – way over priced, i think we can all agree – stick the word limited on the lens and decide to sell it for $210 more.

    poor form olympus.
