4 months ago |I did too, but it seems everyday there’s a deal on the GX1, though I appreciate that fact that the site needs new content daily.

admin
4 months ago |Hi!
Yep there is a plan to move out all deals on a special and separate website. As some of you like them to see them and some of you not.
Beside that you are aware that the site has categories and by clicking on it you can filter out the deal posts?
Bye!

4 months ago |Exactly!
I’m not sure why so many complain. If you don’t want to see the deals, just click the “rumors” filter and have at it.
I am sure there are many users that have benefited from these posted deals by getting great pricing on cameras before they sell out. Plus, it benefits you, the Admin, and allows you to fund the site and keep it running. That is something that I think all users should value.

4 months ago |And I reapeat. I found the solution to filter out most of the deals post from the main content. It will be implemented in 2-3 months!

4 months ago |A deal is also a mirror for upcoming new cameras. According to motor cars these GX1 deals are something like a “final edition” for cars, a clear indicater that there is soon coming a sucessor.

4 months ago |Keep it! I have bought now a refurbished Cameta E-PL1, new XZ-1, and now a bargain new 40-150mm because I check this site daily for news. Thanks admin!

4 months ago |I would have bought the 40-150mm lens at that price but they want to charge $75 for shipping! I think I’ll pass on it.

4 months ago |Depends what country you are in, but you can get the 14-42 II R and 40-150 R as a two-lens kit deal with an Olympus MFT body for around $250 over body only price. This is normal sale price. No special discounting. Some big retailers have %off sales for cameras. For e.g. if 15% off, you can potentially get both lenses for $115 ($57.50 each) over body only price. This only makes sense if you are buying a new camera body and want the kit lenses.

4 months ago |I’m in Australia & that’s pretty expensive for postage. I didn’t see an option for postage that might have been cheeper (maybe I didn’t look hard enough) & the lens is back up to $159 now. Maybe next time I will look better & not be too picky.
Ross
4 months ago |I went to Adorama instead, but the black lenses were out of stock, so I bought the silver one instead (it will be fine on my silver OM-D) with postage costing $59. $158 for this lens will now give me that option for my kit (untill something better comes along). That’ll do me!

4 months ago |99$ for the 40-150? Almost can’t believe, great deal. But I ask myself why they make such a low price… New one coming? Hm, 75$ shipment rate to Europe isn’t so great for such a leightweight product…

4 months ago |Purchased a 40-150mm from getolympus.com last week for $99. I half-expected it to be a typo or some sort of pricing error, but it’s set to be delivered tomorrow.

4 months ago |Hey Josef,
Did it take a long time to get the lens shipped from getolympus after you placed you order? I placed mine this weekend, 2-day shipping, and I still haven’ received shipping notification (I am probably spoiled by Amazon’s Prime).
Josef
4 months ago |It did take a little bit to ship out. I ordered on the 7th and it didn’t ship until the 11th. Olympus did ship the lens with 2 day shipping though. I should have it tomorrow.

4 months ago |Admin, thanks for all the recent notices about camera and lens deals!
Ordered a GX1 with the 14-42mm kit lens for $341 from Amazon the other day. Today they cancelled the order, so I went to B&H and bought a black body for $319, saved $5 on a second battery, and no shipping costs, either. Still a damn good deal.
What a nice little camera!
FInally got a chance to handle a GH3, too. It’s not as gawdawful big as everyone… including me
… have been complaining about! It feels really comfortable, in fact. The control layout and dual control wheels are really nice… separate shutter speed and aperture. The EVF is very crisp, not blurry as some have reported. The new display is very nice, too!

up a photograph may provide the digital photographer with a dose
of an inventive flare. Many times however, the soft cloud
isn’t just what exactly you had in your mind and can usually spoil an otherwise good image, especially if you intend on enlarging that.
