(FT5) There is still one more thing to come from Olympus….stay tuned!

OK, now I am sure that Olympus will soon announce one more thing along the already coming 17mm f/1.8 prime lens! I am working on the specs…but need some help from sources: Can you confirm me the specs and price and announcement date of that “thing”? So that I won’t make any mistakes. You can contact me anonymously by just dropping a message via contact form you see here on the right. Thanks!!!

7 months ago |f/2, 7-20mm in 300g is impossible. However, I’d love a 2/7 prime… (given that the optical performance is stellar)

7 months ago |Is it possible this is just going to be a proper over-sized sensor in all planes, so you can shoot in all planes in each format like the GH series but the sensor cover a landscape and portrait planes without having to rotate the camera

7 months ago |I think this is an admin imposter. With previous posters realising that you can use admin as name, they may have gone ahead and made the false rumour under the name admin.
Breaking news like this will usually be accompanied by (Updated) in the original post.
Youdidntdidyou has already gone and posted this “rumour” on flickr… hope it is legit for your sake!

7 months ago |A translucent mirror is still a mirror.
It still has a flange distance as long as most DSLRs. DSLRs have a translucent mirror anyway, it’s just an optical view finder (where the SLT lacks).
It still means a FF is possible in the future, making lenses of the same quality, smaller.
