CP+2025 CIPA reveals camera and lens shipment forecast for 2025
The CIPA has published its forecast for camera sales up to 2025. Basically, a minimal increase of 1% is forecast for cameras and 2.4% for lenses. Interestingly, they see an increase in demand for fixed lens cameras (+2%).
Shipment forecast for 2025 * () indicates year-on-year change
- Total digital cameras: 8.58 million units (+1.0%)
- Interchangeable lens cameras: 6.66 million units (+0.8%)
- Integrated lens cameras: 1.92 million units (+1.9%)
- Interchangeable lenses: 10.56 million units (+2.4%)
