Is there a shipping delay on the E-M1 III because of the Coronavirus caused production halt?

Share

A couple of stores notified their customers that there is a shipping delay on the E-m1III. One reader sent me this note he got from Amazon:

“Hello,
We’re encountering a delay in shipping your order. We’ll send a confirmation as soon as it ships and communicate the expected delivery date. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

I don’t know if the reason behind this is the production issues caused by the Coronavirus outbreak. There are similar delay reports for other manufacturers like Fuji. Now that would be a hard hit for the entire industry which is already suffering a constant sales decline.

New Olympus gear:
E-M1III at Amazon, Adorama, BHphoto, GetOlympus. Olympus DE. Olympus UK, Olympus FR, Olympus ES, Olympus IT, Olympus NL.
Olympus 12-45mm at Amazon, Adorama, BHphoto, GetOlympus.

Today Panasonic had an announcement…but only for L-mount :(

Share

Today the Cp+ show was supposed to start. After the event cancellation we still have companies doing some announcements. Today Panasonic announced a new L-mount lens roadmap but there was no MFT related news. No news on future MFT lenses or anything. I think we will get some more Panasonic MFT news at Photokina.
