Dclife speculates OM Digital might join the L-mount alliance

The Japanese site DC.life is speculating about a possible L-mount move from OM Digital. They name a couple of reasons why they think that might be the case:
- First we have fact that the L-mount alliance itself announced that new partners might be coming soon.
- OM Digital is now free from Olympus “philosophy” of sticking to MFT only
- OM Digital announced a new “WOW” product for end 2021 or early 2022. This wow product may be a FF camera?
I think these speculation are unlikely to be true. Nevertheless…you never know!

New BCNranking data shows OM Digital is loosing market share in Japan

Seven months ago Olympus announced their last new camera. In those seven months Sony and Fuji announced a bunch of nice mirrorless models and that’s why OM Digital has lost quite a big share on the Japanese market. From 20+% it did drop down to 12%.
I hope OM Digital realizes the time has come to show us their cards!
P.S.: BCNranking collects about 40% of the sales data in Japan. The graph on top shows the market share in the mirrorless segment.
