A source told me OM Digital will very soon announce a new wide angle lens. I guess he meant the new 8-25mm f/4.0 PRO lens that was added to the roadmap last year. We should get this lens and a new camera (Tough?) within weeks.

Multiple sources told me the new GH6 will NOT record 8K. Panasonic decided to focus on offering a superb 4K video instead. Apparent 8K was not seen as something really needed by customers by now. I hope to get some more details about the GH6 the coming days ahead of the announcement on May 25th.

Nokishita leaked the front image of the upcoming Panasonic GH5II. They write:

Front image of Panasonic “DC-GH5M2”. It is unconfirmed whether it will be announced on the same day as the GH5II, but it seems that the “LUMIX S 50mm F1.8” will be announced within a few weeks

The announcement will take place on May 25.
