Robin Wong: Your Olympus 100-400mm Images Are Soft? Here Are Possible Reasons Why

Share

Robin Wong writes:

Following up my video recently on shooting with Olympus 100-400mm F5-6.3 in better light and getting incredibly sharp images, I made this video to respond to a few comments claiming that their 100-400mm lenses performed poorly and made soft images. I explored several reasons why and how the 100-400mm images could be soft from firmware compatibility, camera settings, lens settings to shooting techniques and skills in using super telephoto lenses. I hope that this can benefit those who have purchased the 100-400mm lens and intend to get the best out of the lens, and to understand how the lens works (especially the image stabilization mechanism and how it interacts with the camera body, and what settings to use for optimal results).
