It’s now CES show time. And som of you might remember that at the 2020 CES show Sharp unveiled this 8K MFT camera prototype. Well, we haven’t heard nothing since and also on this years CES show Sharp has not talked about this prototype. So I guess it’s a dead project…

These were the camera specs:

8K 30p
4k 60p (200Mbits/s at 10bit)
5.5 inch fully articulating touch display
Full size HDMi out (last year prototype didn’t have it)
Mini XLR input
Headphone and Audio Jack
Price under $4,000

At the end of the CES presentation Panasonic said the GH6 will be released “before Spring arrives”. I am sure this means the GH6 will be displayed the last week of February at the CP+ show!

Don’t hope for the GH6…

I still believe the chances are low…but Ordinary Filmmaker tries to make the case for a GH6 announcement at the CES show.
