On the current situation in Ukraine
At Panasonic Group, we have been very concerned about the current situation in Ukraine and would like to express our deep condolences to all the victims. We hope that the world will return to peace and security as soon as possible.
The Group will keep monitoring developments and provide humanitarian assistance where necessary. As a first step, we have decided to donate approximately 20 million yen to the Polish Red Cross, which is supporting those who have evacuated to neighboring Poland from Ukraine and to Peace Winds Japan, an NGO providing assistance to Ukraine.
Due to the economic, logistical and other practical challenges, we have in principle decided to suspend transactions with Russia.

CineD interviewed MR. Yosuke Yamane-san, Director of Panasonic’s Imaging Business Unit. Here a a couple of take aways:
- COVID-19 delayed the GH6 launch
- one of the goals in developing the GH6 was to be able to produce “zero-edit” images
- About the “Missing” Phase detection AF Yamane-san goes on to say that the company is of course not neglecting other technologies per se, but for this particular model, the decision was made to use existing technologies and further improve them
OM System Japan announces it has resumed the E-PL10 production and sales
Back in October OM Digital halted the E-PL10 production due to ongoing chip shortage issues. Today OM Japan announced it will resume the production and sales of the camera.
