Panasonic Group Q2 FY2023 Financial Results

Panasonic published the Q3 financial results here: news.panasonic.com/global/stories/13531. The company is doing well but there is no info about how the camera business is performing. But it’s clear the camera business is important:

New Switch published an article in which Akira Toyoshima, President of Panasonic Entertainment & Communication, defined five growth business areas and indicated a policy to increase sales by 1.5 times by FY2024. “Movie mirrorless cameras” are included in five growth business areas.

Back in October Panasonic announced the new AW-UE160 PTX camera. Specifically for that model Panasonic “developed phase detection autofocus (PDAF)” (as stated in the press release).
