Today Panasonic Japan made it official and discontinued the superb Leica 200mm f/2.8 MFT lens. You should get it on BHphoto or Amazon US&EU before it’s sold out.
Japanese stores discontinued the Silver lens. You can still find some in Stock at Amazon US&EU if you absolutely want one before it’s gone. Same fate for the GF10/GF90 :(
The OM-1 is now $4o0 off at Amazon US (Click here). It was $240 off yesterday so that’s quite a big increase in discount!

This is really a surprise: Asobinet reports that the Leica 200mm lens and the TC20 2x teleconverter have been marked as discontinued on Japanese stores like Kitamura. The lens is currently regularly in Stock in Amazon US&EU stores, therefore I don’t know if that’s just a temporary issue or if indeed Panasonic stopped the production of both items.
Discontinuing the 200mm lens would be quite a statement from Panasonic that they don’t want to continue to be invested in the photo segment of MFT and rather focus on video only…
