Peter interpreted the Sigma’s CEO wording in a way that it sounds less dramatic than I intended it when I first read the interview on Phototrend.
First we have to consider that this text was written by a journalist (that may have reported or not reported 100% accurately). Moreover there is the problem of the Google translation that may have mixed things a bit.
But even if the statements were accurate it’s not 100% clear how Sigma meant it. Fact is that Sigma is no more developing MFT lenses, and it might has to do with the higher margins they have on Full Frame lenses and not with inherent problems within the MFT system. Let’s hope Peter is correct in his analysis!
