April Cipa data shows small signs of recovery in the camera industry
In April Japanese companies shipped out more cameras compared to April 2022. A small good sign after a bad start. Still, we need Panasonic and OM Digital to announce new MFT cameras if they want to make meaningful sales in 2023!

Just released: New Topaz Photo AI 1.3.7
Topaz just released the new Photo AI updated which you can get with a new $40 discount (Click here). The updates are:
- Removed legacy models setting from preferences
- Autopilot can now recommend the older Sharpen Lens Blur model again
- Remove Noise v2 models have dropped their beta tag and are now recommended by default by Autopilot
- Added Nvidia GPU models for Remove Noise v2 models
- Changed close image shortcut to be Ctrl+W instead of Ctrl+F4 on Windows
- Selecting Custom aspect ratio will now automatically unlock the aspect ratio while cropping
- Fixed issue where only half of face would be recovered in some cases
- Fixed Close Image shortcut only being able to close one image on Windows

The Panasonic Lumix GH1 was the first mirrorless video camera ever made. I wanted to pay homage to it by testing it in 2022 to see if the image quality still holds up to modern standards. I was lucky enough to have Philip Bloom as a guest in this video. He tested the camera when it originally came out in 2009, which gives this video a unique perspective. Enjoy!
