Technical note: Youtube videos no longer visible for many

Share

Some readers reported that embedded youtube video appear to not work anymore. I made a quick test and it appears to be related to adblockers no more showing the video if I simply copy and paste the youtube link in my posts. I now tried to embeds the videos using the html code and this seems to work.

Let me know in the comment system if you can see this video or not:

OM photographer and Youtuber has cancer: Big hug and keep on the fight!

Share

As you might have noticed I often do embeds video from the Astrophotography channel “The Narrow Band”. I kind of like his personality, his seriousness and honesty. Today he shared this video where he talks about his stage 4 cancer. I am happy to see him in a good fighter mood! In this video he still finds some energy to talk about his Olympus/OM cameras!
For anyone interested in what he does consider to subscribe his channel. As a personal note: Big hug and keep on the fight! I might one day be so lucky to meet you in person!

TheNarrowBand: Olympus E1 is 20 Years Old and How it Failed

Share

TheNarrowBand:

The E1 is tragic. I will list plenty of reasons why in the video. The lack of wide lenses. The overpriced components even though the heart of the system was not really that overpriced. And then there were some mistakes made in the design of the format too. It’s tragic because this affected the market in what I believe was a negative way and made other manufacturers hesitate to move into the digital space. Not to mention the Four Thirds system was an open one that was truly democratic. Sadly that was lost too and thought the MFT system is an open on its not in any way really democratic in the way company prevent camera features from being used across lenses and camera brands.

Micro Four Thirds Camera vs Smartphone: Which Camera is Right for You? (feat. GX85 and S22 Ultra)

Share

Gary W writes:

Join me today as I am comparing between two very different photography tools, Micro Four Thirds vs Smartphone, to know how each of them perform as camera. I am comparing my Micro Four Thirds camera, the Panasonic Lumix GX85, against a flagship phone, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and I am exploring different point of views to find out the strengths and weaknesses of each camera. This is not a scientific test, but rather my own opinion based on my experience and my preference towards what makes a camera great.
