As expected the lens performes very well.

Maybe you are waiting for the Panasonic GF1 release but if you are ready to go for the Olympus E-P1 here you have the availabilty list:

Amazon US will have the Silver E-P1 in stock on August 15.
The White E-P1 usually ships within 6 to 10 days.. If you want the E-P1 with the 17mm lens… it usually ships within 1 to 2 months. :(

Bhphoto and Adorama do not have the E-P1 in stock.

Europeans have far more luck with most big stores having the in stock!!!

The danish Zoom website announces that Panasonic will unveil the new Lumix camera by September 1th. And we bet the camera will be the new GF1 MicroFourThirds camera. Also the 20mm f/1.7 and 45mm macro lens are expected to be announced.
