2023 was a slow year for OM Digital and we only got one highlight with the excellent (but expensive) Lumix G9II. I do believe that in 2024 we well get more cameras and lenses and I made a full recap of the rumored gear!

So we just got the very first announcement of the year from Panasonic. They launched this new 100mm macro L-mount lens. There wasn’t much talk about MFT a part of the DJI collaboration with support for MFT cameras. Let’s hope Panasonic will have some MFT lens announcements this year too…

As I reported on Mirrorlessrumors (here, here and here) the market for film cameras are booming. So much that for example my Mamiya 7 had a plus 50% raise in value. I am not sure yet but I think also Olympus film cameras are highly requested. Sometimes I wonder if it would make sense for OM Digital to make a new modern film camera again. And Panasonic could even think about making an L-mount film camera or not?
Or is all of this just a temporary hype?
