(FT5) UPDATED: New Olympus teaser….for a new website :(

Share

Olympus Malaysia launched a new website with the following teaser: http://www.evolve.com.my/.

But CNET Asia learned that this is not a teaser for a new product announcement:”We got back to Olympus Singapore which told CNET Asia that the microsite is just part of the company’s marketing scheme for the already-announced E-PL1 Micro Four Thirds camera. Also, no new dSLRs are expected on February 28.

(FT3) New dual exposure technique sensor for the GH2?

Share

The website EOShd.com reported what Panasonic engineer T. Azuma’s said during the International Solid State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in San Francisco (which took place last week).

Basically Azuma says that Panasonic developed a sensor based on ‘dual exposure technique’ which improves the sensitivity by a factor of 4. This goal has been archived allowing green pixels to be read independently of the blue and red ones on the sensor. They are exposed four times longer than the red and blue pixels.

micro 4/3 adapter for enlarger lens (Rodenstock-Schneider-DURST…)

Share
The Adapter

The italian engineer Adriano Lolli created a new adapter. Original description from his website: “Adapter for obiectives by magnifying with screw thread M39 cameras in 39×1 graft Olympus, Lumix, Panasonic, Leica, etc. with bayonet micro 4 / 3. Allows you to mount all the breeding objectives with M39 thread on graft focamere micro 4/3. If somebody has a lens with a different diameter of thread, please note that we realize every kind of fitting. Also check the draft of your objective for allowing focus properly: it must be put into the range of the values shown in the second photo (from 20 mm to 28 mm). We realize the same adapter for different measures, see article: 3189

Nice! Now we can use our “old” enlarger lens on MFT!
