According to Valentin Sama Pentax-Hoya is considering to join MicroFourThirds. No other details were given.

UPDATE3: RiceHigh explains very well why Pentax will not join MicroFourThirds!.

UPDATE2: Mr Sama got this information from a senior Pentax manager. He also said that maybe the manager referred to the Micro Four Thirds as “System” or “concept”.

UPDATE: Jose told us more about the person Mr.Sama: “Mr Sama is not a photographer but a very well know and respected optics professor at the university and the autor of one of the best spanish photography magazine ever (funding member of european TIPA association BTW) and most importantly (for you), Mr Sama is the one, and only, behind DSLRMagazine website wich you have linked to a few times before.”

According to EOSHD Leica could make Summilux C cinema primes for the Panasonic AF100. Probably the microFourThirds version of the leica cinema lenses will be produced by Panasonic with leica quality control (like the Panasonic 45mm f/2.8 lens).
The future leica cinema primes for PL-mount are the 16, 18, 21, 25, 35, 40, 50, 65, 75 and 100mm lenses (no details were yet given about aperture and price)

I also received the Schneider-Kreuznach roadmap for the NX system. I posted the rumor on k-rumors.com. I would like to have such fast prime lenses for MicroFourThirds!

Panasonic latest patent discloses an adapter for MicroFourThirds camera which adds mirror and phase detection on your camera. Remember only few patents do become real products.
Anyway do you really need to turn your mirrorless camera back into a classic DSLR?
