Letsgodigital tested the new [shoplink 14800]Olympus 14-150mm[/shoplink] lens: http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/26746/olympus-lens-review/. Their conclusions? On a Olympus body: “For every other photographer, it is recommended for easy and relaxed photography!“. If you own a Panasonic MFT camera than you will lack IS (Image Stabilization).
Alphamountworls also wrote a nice Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 Review: http://www.alphamountworld.com/reviews/panasonic-lumix-dmc-g1-review. Cgarrard has some mixed feelings regarding the G1 but he amdits that “I grab the G1 quite often right now.“.
We know that specs and features is what we are looking for but it would be also “nice” to know the real name of the next Panasonic cameras! A new source contacted us to say that Panasonics new GF camera will be called GF3 and not GF2!
That sounds very likely because few months ago Imaging Resource had a chance to talk with Yoshiyuki Inoue (senior camera planner from Panasonic Corporation). Adn he said that the GH3 or a GF3 may having different AF in movies…
So may we should call them GF3 and GH3!
Reminder: There is a superdeal ongoing at Amazon -> Panasonic GF1 with 20mm f/1.7 Aspherical Lens for $649.99 (click here to buy the camera now!) and BHphoto (same price)

And I would like to know from our readers what they think about the folowing post from RiceHigh “If Size Really Matters, What’s the Meaning of Micro-4/3 Now?”
Just my two cent…The [shoplink 14908]Sony NEX-3(5)[/shoplink] surprised us all with their compact size, but they also had to sacrifice the usability. Anyway, I am sure Panasonic and Olympus will soon release even smaller cameras…
