Curios story: Reddit user bought one of the only three existing Lumix GM1 with WerterOberfell design

Share

Reddit user Reeposter shared his story ano curious Lumix GM1 camera he bought back in 2016. Only now he realized he had a limited edition model:

So apparently this design was just shown at Photokina 2014 as a concept of future Panasonic cameras, it was made by German design studio WerterOberfell (WertelOberfell GbR). This grip was planned to be in next gen GM1 (maybe GM5, maybe something newer) interchangable (so you could have different fronts) but it was canceled after the change of management. And the craziest part is that this Lumix is 1 of 3 that were created. One of those was kept by WerterOberfell and two were given to higher management (I guess Panasonic?). It is just mind blowing for me.

Lucky him!

These are the images of the three custom made GM1 cameras:

Find your camera in case of theft: New low price for JJC quick release plate with built-in AirTag space

Share

The price dropped from $26 to now $19 on this JJC Quick Release pate for Airtag sold on Amazon. There is also a specific A7cII/cr quick plate version (Click here). There are also alternatives from Smallrrig (Click here) and Kiora (Click here). The Apple Airtags are discounted too (Click here).

If someone robs you on the street, this is probably the easiest and fastest way to find your camera. I use airtags on everything: camera, lens bag, mountain bike, cargo bike. I have never been robbed, but I have lost a few things a couple of times and always managed to find them. Better safe than sorry!
