Tested: Panasonic GX7 works fine in Antarctica!

The Scott Expedition – A Great Adventure from Studiocanoe on Vimeo.

43rumors readers Temujin sent me this video shot with the GX7 in Antarctica! And here is the text:

The GX7’s worked perfectly in Antarctica – as did my GH3. Here’s a quick overview video from the expedition. https://vimeo.com/87406935. The team sent back footage from the GX7’s via a custom made communications array – using the Iridium satellite system. The footage they sent back was reduced in quality to keep the file size down, but now I’m editing the raw files and we hope to make and finish a full documentary from the footage later this year.

Nice work!

[shoplink 45218 ebay][/shoplink]

The new Mitakon Canon EF to MFT Lens Turbo adapter can be ordered on [shoplink 45218 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. It basically does the same job of a Metabones Speed Booster but costs much less (and will not match the Metabones quality).

UPDATE: Personal View has a long topic about these alternative adapter. It’s interesting to read it to learn about their strength and weaknesses.

New Nocticron review by Admiringlight. First time in Stock at Amazon US.

Share

The new Leica Nocticron 42,5mm f/1.2 is now in Stock for the first time at Amazon US (Click here). And Admiringlight (Click here) just posted his full lens reviews:

Having shot with multiple systems and hundreds of lenses, the Nocticron is right there at the top among the best lenses I’ve ever shot with. It is extremely sharp right from f/1.2, has gorgeous bokeh, low distortion, incredibly high image contrast for a fast lens, super fast autofocus, optical stabilization and a pro-grade build. If you are a Micro 4/3 shooter and want speed, background blur and optical quality, you can’t do much better than the 42.5mm Nocticron.

No doubt, great lens! Wish we could get more of these…and if possible for a bit lower price too :)

The Black E-M10 is also back in Stock via Ritz at Amazon (Click here).

And GetOlympus (Click here) is now selling the reconditioned E-Pm2 kits for $199 only!

First Look at the Panasonic Lumix GH4 with Zacuto from Zacuto on Vimeo.

Zacuto posted that interesting GH4 chat with Panasonic manager Matt Frazer. A real must see if you want to learn more about the GH4! There are a couple of very “honest” answers from Matt about the real ISO improvement and native ISO of the sensor.
