GH4 in Stock status in USA:
The only store that has them in Stock sells them for $2099 on [shoplink 46226 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. And for the first time the YAGH interface is in Stock via [shoplink 46227 ebay]eBay seller (Click here)[/shoplink].
The GH4 will be back in Stock in late May at Amazon, Adorama, BHphoto, Ritz Camera and Panasonic.
Meantime Gordon Laing posted the full GH4 review at CameraLabs and writes:
If you’re only judging the GH4 on stills, it’s clearly very good, but you can match or beat it with cheaper models. But if you’re interested in video, the Lumix GH4 is triumphant. Yes it’s noisy at high ISOs, but look at the price! 4k video with internal recording and 1080p at 96fps, squeezed into a compact camera that’s also respectable for stills – all for under $2000 USD? The GH4 is not just a bargain for video enthusiasts, it’s a game-changer.
Great review by Gordon!

Good and bad news: 0 shock dramatically improves the E-P5 image quality. But feature is not coming to the E-M5 :(
The test performed by Dpreview.
Our source (Thank You!) were right and the E-P5 now got the 0 shock feature via firmware update. The bad news is that the same source said there is no E-M5 firmware update coming any time soon. This means no 0 anti shock feature coming for E-M5 camera owners yet.
In the meantime Dpreview already tested the zero shock feature of the E-P5 and writes:
e haven’t done any real-world shooting with this yet, but our test shots suggest it’s very effective at reducing image shake at the ‘danger’ speeds. The blurring that’s visible in the first image below is reduced by enabling 0 sec anti-shock. The mode adds a very subtle delay to the shutter response, but one measured in miliseconds. We see no reason not to ensure ‘0 Sec Anti-Shock’ is always applied – resolving the issue outlined in our original review.
Great news for all E-P5 owners!

Thoughts on Panasonic GH4 and GH4 Video Quality vs Sony A7s (Diglloyd)
Jahawi: “It’s not a rumour, and it may seem a bit out dated with all the talk of the GH4 but this is a trailer of an upcoming documentary i’ve been working on in the North coast of Kenya. All the underwater footage and most of the topside stuff was shot on a Panasonic GH3. Thought it may be something different for the m43 readers! The full documentary will be going to the Smithsonian Museum Of Natural Histroy in Wahsington this summer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee1bcP9FXVc.”
Eric: “I took my GH4 for a test shoot around Seattle, including a helicopter ride over this beautiful city with fantastic results (Watch the video at Vimeo). I think this camera is going to be very popular for aerial video. The sharpness and dynamic range are unlike anything I’ve ever seen from a DSLR before. I also tested the time lapse mode in the camera and absolutely love it. The cameras ability to create 4K videos from the time lapses in-camera is a luxury that saves hours of post production.“
(Part two for US) Last GF6 kits for sale in US for $379 and $479.
Panasonic is likely not updating the GF line this year and there are some serious doubts there will be ever a new GF camera. The good news is that plenty of the current GF cameras are heavily discounted. Last week I made a roundup of GF3 deals (article here). This week I can link you to all very low GF6 US prices:
Black GF6 with 14-42mm kit lens for $379 at Amazon, BHphoto (with free SD card) and Adorama (with free case and 4% reward).
Black GF6 with 14-42mm X pancake zoom lens for $479.99 at [shoplink 46211 ebay]BestBuy eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].
And that’s it! No more GF6 sales after those deals :(
(FT5) E-M1 firmware gets “leaked”.

The info about the yet not released new firmware update 1.4 for the E-M1
A hidden link inside Olympus website leads to a soon to be released E-M1 firmware update. Teh date says May 14 but a hungarian site (Source: Mlzphoto) says Olympus postponed the release to May 21.

Like I told you, the official Olympus Imaging support site doesnt’ display the here leaked fw update yet.

2) 0-second value is added to the “Anti-Shock” mode
