New FZ1000 finally shipping in Japan. Bogus price at Amazon…$9,999!

Share

The FZ1000 is now officially shipping in Japan through Amazon JP or [shoplink 47139 ebay]Japanese eBay sellers[/shoplink]. And a third party reseller is trying to sell the camera for $9,999(!) at Amazon US (click here to see it). Hope nobody will buy it for mistake :(

The FZ1000 is the cheapest 4K (larger sensor) photocamera on the market. Let’s hope for Panasonic it becomes a real big hit! And I bet future entry level Panasonic MFT cameras will feature 4K video recording too…

(FT2) E-M1 Silver edition and 4K firmware upgrade coming in September?

Share

An anonymous source shared the following info:

Olympus will launch a Silver E-M1 edition at Photokina. And there will be also a new firmware for the E-M1 that allows you to shoot 4K video (& get a lot of options during shooting videos).

The source is new so take it with a grain of salt. But it would be certainly a huge (and welcome) surprise if current E-M1 owners would get such a firmware update! Sounds almost to good to be true…
