I guess most of you already forgot there is also a Micro Four Thirds camcorder line from Panasonic :) Well, according to two anonymous sources there will be a new AG-AF camcorder in 2015. One of them said it’s likely to come at NAB 2015 and replace the current AG-AF100/101. Pretty obvious that this new camera will have 4K recording. Other features are yet unknown…

Here is a test of the Leica 25mm lens, against the similar Nikon 18.5mm lens for the Nikon 1 system. It shows that the Leica lens is a lot better (M43photo).

Jean:A “next door” story on an unconventional specie. As a professional photographer, I recently worked on an amazing universe, the Sphynx. These hairless cats are an official specie which appeared in the 60’s. Just very few official breeders around the world. That work, made for magazines, was entirely shot with two GH3, a Pana 20mm and Olympus 12mm & 45mm. Link is: http://www.fubiz.net/usersstuff/sphynx-un-univers-a-part/

Robert:I’m not sure if this is something you’d show but I shot this video on a local artist with a bmpcc https://vimeo.com/89224026. I’m sensor size agnostic but love using m43 for the tiny lenses.

Panasonic confirms RAW recording could come on the GH4 via firmware upgrade!

Share

A month ago I told you that a trusted sources said Panasonic would add 4K RAW recording on external devices on a future GH4 firmware upgrade. Well, our source was right as this has been confirmed by two companies:

1) Atomos confirmed via Twitter that they will update their Atomos Shogun (Here at BH) (which will also be able to record 4K 444).

2) Panasonic said raw output from the GH4 could come with a future firmware upgrade as soon as external recorders will allow this (Source: EosHD).

Sounds great!!!

UPDATE: GH4 is not able to output 4:4:4 so Atomos 4K 4:4:4 feature can only be used by future new 4K cameras.

The Panasonic CM1 smartphone with 1 inch sensor was the most viral news on 43rumors!

Share

Photokina is over and I noticed one strange thing. Guess what was the most viral news here on 43rumors? Neither the LX100 or the Olympus 40-150mm lens. And nor was it a rumor. It was the news about that unique Panasonic 1 inch sensor smartphone camera! The article can be read here and a first review here. The Panasonic CM1 is listed at Panasonic Germany, Panasonic Austria, Panasonic France. and only sodl in those countries. But I am wondering 43rumors reader think this is a great product:

Do you think the CM1 is a product Panasonic should push worldwide?
