As you well know Leicas fixed lens cameras have been mostly “copies” of current Panasonic fixed lens cameras. Yet on June 11 Leica will announce a new Leica Q Full Frame fixed lens camera with 28mm f/1.7 lens. A few 43rumors readers asked me if the camera is made in collaboration with Panasonic and if there is a Panasonic version coming. Well, I have not heard a word about that. I have been told the next camera to be announced should be the FZ300 and after that the G8.

The 7-14mm f/2.8 lens is an impressive performer and a worthy addition to the Olympus M.Zuiko PRO range. The relatively high price tag reflects both the build and optical quality of this lens. Neither comes cheap but if you’re prepared to pay the price and you need an ultra-wide zoom lens for your OM-D camera, you’re unlikely to regret it.

Metabones announced a new 0,64x Speed Booster designed for the GH4. With that new Speed Booster the crop factor becomes almost APS-H (1.28x). And in Cinema 4K video mode the crop factor is almost identical to Super35 (1.5x).
The lens also makes any lens 1.3 stops faster with a maximum possible aperture of f/0.8!!!

There is yet no price or preorder info released by Metabones.
