Chris:Just wanted to share a short I did with a mix of GH2 (Flowmotion) + Nikon V1 raw footage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmNxRs4nWRI

Kees:I am a amateur and i made video’s with the em-1; In my experience the IBIS does a great job, the af is sometimes not quick enough, See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MULtKuWl9Oc

Cem:GH4 time laps function problem:
When the “daylight saving” option is selected at the time of setting the camera date&time, the previously set “camera time” is shifted according to the selected time zone. In this case, when the “start time” parameter of the “time Lapse function” is entered a specific start time, the camera wakes up at a later (or earlier depending on the time zone shift) time than specified by the start time.
In other words, it seems that the wake up module for “Time Lapse” function does not take the time zone shift into account and there is no word about this in the electronic manual.
When “daylight saving” option is not selected at the time of setting the “camera date&time”, the “time lapse” function “start time” parameter wakes up the camera at the specified time.

(FT3) MFT sensor fixed lens suprises to come from Panasonic?

Share

Sources from SLRclub Korea (found via Dicahub) said that Panasonic will launch a surprising new fixed lens camera with FT sensor on July 16! We are talking about a second fixed lens camera after the LX8! There are no other details yet but I hope to get some more info soon.

Two years ago MR-Uematsu told in an interview at Quesabesde that there could be a “possible future fixed lens camera with larger Four Thirds sensor”. He said that it would have to be smaller than the [shoplink 26836 ebay]GX1[/shoplink], feature a fixed and bright f/1.7 or f/2.0 lens and price could be around 700 Euro. But Uematsu does n0t know if there would be a high demand for a model like that.

Let’s see if Uematsu’s camera will become real in 3 weeks!

New GH4 reviews! Richard Payne: “is the first camera I would trust for both stills and video”

Share

Richard Payne posted a full GH4 review at Redsharknews and writes:

As I work for Holdan (a UK, Ireland and European Distributor) I see a LOT of professional camcorders and large sensor systems. In my 30 year’s experience of working with video cameras, I can say with hand on heart that the GH4 is the first camera I would trust for both stills and video.

Also Caleb Pike from Dslrvideoshooter reviewed the camera:

The Panasonic GH4 is an amazing camera. I haven’t been this excited about shooting since I bought my 7D. Not because its a nice toy, but because I can spend more time and energy on my projects, talent and cinematography and stop dealing with silly DSLR issues. Watch my review for the full lowdown.
