(FT3) New menu interface for Olympus cameras coming soon via firmware upgrade?

Share

Image on top shows the current menu on Oly cameras.

I just got this from an anynmous source:

I have been talking to Olympus EU support about the lack of a backup feature for saving menu customisations and was asking were Olympus listening at all to customers who were frustrated at their extensive customisations being nuked by firmware updates.
During the conversation the Oly staffer let it out that he could see the “user experience drastically improving in the not to distant future” when discussing the user interface.
I’m reading this to be a new easier menu structure coming soon with possibly a means to backup customisations.

TheCameraStoreTV confirms Leica Q is made with Panasonic!

Share

TheCameraStoreTV posted the full Leica Q Hands-On Field Test video. At minute 1.20 they say the Leica Q is a combined project between Leica and Panasonic. It even uses Panasonic batteries (DMW-BLC12).

I dont’ think that means there will be a Panasonic version of that camera. But I would certainly be interested to know who made that Full Frame sensor. Leica said it’s not from CMOSIS or Sony….so could it be a new Panasonic FF sensor?
