Panasonic.net officially announced the release of the new 25mm f/1.7 MFT lens. There is yet no detail on picing and availlability. Will update this post as soon as I have more info!

I just got this:
I can confirm the firmware will be announced tomorrow for $99 at authorized resellers. It appears that it will be a physical box, not just a download (probably similar to what Sony has been doing with their [shoplink 55330 ebay]PXW-X70[/shoplink] recently).

(FT3) Rumor has it you have to pay for the V-Log firmware update :(
Again, I do hope that rumor is false. But another anonymous source (therefore yet to take with a grain of salt) sent me this:
This is not a rumor, thats going to happens 1st of september. V-Log is going to be officially launched by Panasonic. People will need to pay for it but I don’t know how much.They will have online process and each firmware is gonna work only with a serial number camera body.
If that rumor turns out to be true than this epxlains also why Panasonic will launch a “GH4R” camera. This would be a more expensive GH4 camera with V-Log already included.
