MirrorlessRumors.com reports the name of the name of Leica’s first mirrorless and non-rangefinder FF system camera will be “Leica SL“. This is a completely new system launched by Leica and in which Panasonic is deeply involved. Panasonic will deliver the necessary tech like processor and so on. The Leica SL will have a [shoplink 55702 ebay]Leicaflex SL alike design (cameras here on eBay)[/shoplink].

It will be very interesting to see if Panasonic will in future join the FF system with own branded cameras and lenses!

Panasonic_100-400mm

Robert Pothorcki‎ spotted that new Panasonic-Leica 100-400mm MFT prototype lens image (at IFA Berlin). The lens will be announced in Spring and price info is yet unknown. Olympus sold the [shoplink 55638 ebay]ZUIKO 70-300mm (here on eBay)[/shoplink] for around $400. But I am sure the Panasonic will be triple (if not more!) the price of the Zuiko!

This is all the info shared by Panasonic about that lens so far:

Panasonic is developing the first LEICA DG 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 telephoto zoom lens (35mm camera equivalent: 200-800mm) for the Micro Four Thirds system standard to expand the lineup of DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) digital interchangeable lenses.

The LEICA DG lenses are designed and developed under the stringent quality standard certified by Leica that boast excellent optical performance. Four single focal length LEICA DG lenses have already introduced to the market and have been highly acclaimed by users worldwide.

The new telephoto zoom achieves exceptional imaging performance over the entire zoom range. It also features high speed digital signal exchange at 240 fps to comply with the high-speed, high-precision AF (Auto Focus) with DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology on LUMIX G cameras. Together with the POWER O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer), it lets users to focus on the target quickly to capture crisp, clear images. In addition, the new lens is both light and small and is splash/dust-proof to withstand heavy field use.  As the new telephoto zoom lens excels in size and weight, it enables handheld 800mm (35mm camera equivalent) telephoto shooting without using a tripod.

German E-M10II test at D-pixx.de.

Enzo:While working on the 7-14mm PRO filter adapter (https://www.43rumors.com/thats-cool-3d-printed-prototypes-of-adapter-ring-for-lee-100mm-system-for-mzd-714/), I made two bayonet filter adapters for two PRO lens and for Lee 100mm filter system.
They are for 12-40mm PRO and 40-150mm PRO. These bayonet adapters permit a quick install of the Lee filter system, and using the filter holder with the circular thread filter attached to the lens directly.
