I just got that anonymous message (Thanks to the source!). He wrote:
“Panasonic will soon release new firmware update about end of November. The new function will be post-focus. It works just like 4K Photo as a photo mode. Camera shoots short 4K MP4 video and user can touch on any area to change focus point and save as JPG.”
We just got a new MFT lens! But you will have to wait till Summer 2016 to get it. It’s the Meyer Optik Görlitz Trimagon 95mm f/2.6 lens. The price is yet unknown but the lens is made to have an extremely nice bokeh and to outresolve 60+ Megapixel sensors.
David: “I’ve recently expanded my brief reviews of lenses and accessories for MFT to include additional lenses and combinations, more photo samples, and a listing of lenses that work well with infrared (not all do), with B&W IR photo samples added for these, at: http://www.david-ruether-photography.com/MFT-Lenses.htm”

For a limited quantity you get the E-P5 with 17mm f/1.7 lens and VF-4 EVF with a huge $550 discount at [shoplink 56566 ebay]RobertsCamera eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. On other US stores like BHphoto you have to pay $1,249 for the same kit.
It’s the first time in nine years I see this. Image samples of the rare Rayxar 50mm f/0.75 super fast lens shot on the Olympus E-PL5 have been posted by Anadrasi on his [shoplink 56547 ebay]eBay auction page (Click here to see the images)[/shoplink].
That lens is massive and absolutely sexy on the E-PL5. But I am not sure you can get anything in focus at full aperture!
Focus Numerique interviewed Haruo Ogawa from Olympus. And here are just some of the key info he spilled out:
More Megapixels? For most of our clients 16MP is sufficient. But in certain situations, this is not enough.
The issue with Full Frame: With a 24×36 sensor, the optics are still very impressive and heavy enough. We believe that at Olympus housings must be compact, but the optic must also be more consistency.
New lenses: We will focus on very bright optical lenses.
What needs to be improved with the EVF: We have to go below 6 milliseconds for the human eye can not be bothered. If we can improve the response time, then the electronic viewfinder will be better than the optical viewfinder.
Autofocus: In the near future, we will further improve this hybrid (AF) system.
4K: In the near future, we will try to have a camera with a video mode 4K.
I am particularly excited to learn more about the fast primes!
