Olympus 300mm test by Warren Fleming on Olympus MAG (free download).

The January Olympusmag UK issue has been released (download the PDF here). And there is an article by Warren Fleming about the new 300mm PRO lens. He writes:

“I managed to test the IS down to a fifth of a second handheld in order to get sharp images – which is incredible”

The 300mm PRO lens is probably the best lens ever made for those who need a 600mm lens they can use handheld. There is probably no other lens on the world that can do this.

The Olympus E-M5 now sells for $379 at BHphoto (Click here). The camera now turns exactly four years old. Back in February 2012 when it was announced the official price was $1,299.

Thew new Kipon Baveyes focal length reducer adapter for OM anc C/Y lenses is now in Stock!

Kipon announced it’s now shipping the new Baveyes OM and C/Y adapters. You can buy the [shoplink 58003 ebay]OM to MFT Baveye on eBay (Click here)[/shoplink] and also the [shoplink 58004 ebay]C/Y adapter on eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].

By using that adpater you gain 1 stop aperture with 0,7x focal length reduction. Kipon writes:
If you want to use the 50mm lens: 50mm × 2x (Micro Four Thirds focus magnification) × 0.7x (BAVEYES focus magnification) = 70mm angle of view equivalent
If you want to use the 35mm lens: 35mm × 2x (Micro Four Thirds focus magnification) × 0.7x (BAVEYES focus magnification) = 49mm angle of view equivalent
