Nokishita confirmed what we told you time ago. The new E-M1II and GH5 will be only “pre-announced” on Monday. Our sources told us the cameras will ship in early 2017 only. This means the full announcement with preorder start is expected to happen only by end 2016.

And this is the list of products that will be announced on Monday and immediately available for preorder:

Olympus developed two E-M1II protoypes. One with 16MP 3D stacked sensor and one with 20MP sensor

This is now the third time I hear it: Sources reported that Olympus actually developed two E-M1II cameras. One with the Olympus 3D stacked sensor (PDF download here) and one with a 20MP sensor. And according to the sources the marketing department pushed the more “safe bet” 20MP sensor and the engineers pushed for their own 16MP sensor.

This info of course has to be taken with a decent dose of salt. But somehow I feel a lot fo sympathy for the engineer’s…

And here it is the new Panasonic G80! And you can see the new Leica 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 lens on it too!
