Olympus has organized an official Olympus E-M1II presentation day on November 2. Many journalists and blogger will be able to test the final E-M1II production version.I also guess that from that day on we will be also able to preorder the new camera. If you preorder fast the camera will ship to you before Christmas. Therefore stay tuned on 43rumors where I will link to all possible US and Eu preorder links.

One of my sources tested the E-M1II and quickly reported:

• The high Iso performance is slightly better than the one of the PEN-F
• Image is not as sharp as the one from the PEN-F but it has more detail and less color noise.

First full tests will be published the first week of November.

The M1 Mark II comes with a new 20.4 megapixel Live MOS sensor (not the sensor of the Pen F!) with a promise of a higher dynamic range. I wasn’t able to take pictures for comparison with the old M1 but I have the personal impression of indeed an improvement. Pictures of snowy mountains at backlit, of the unbelievable colours of Landmannalaugar, of the contrast of black lava and white snow all are clear and full of details.
