(FT2) Questionable rumor: Olympus working on a new Full-frame camera with 4:3 aspect ratio

I got this very strange rumor from a unkown source:

Full-frame Olympus with 4:3 aspect ratio awaiting approval from Panasonic & Sony.

I think it’s unlikely to be true. But at the same time I do wonder if such a camera would actually make sense. It would be nice to see Olympus doing “something different” to explore new market possibilities. After all it’s the High End segment that is the one not suffering the camera market collapse.

Off brand announcements: Tamron 18-400mm and Milvus 35mm

Share

Tamron and Zeiss will launch two new lenses very soon. While those will not be MFT lenses both lenses can still be used via adapter on any MFT camera

1) Zeiss will launch the Milvus 35mm f/1.4 manual focusing lens
2) Tamron will launch a super travel zoom lens: 18-400mm for Canon/Sony/Nikon mount

You might forgot about it but Tamron made a 14-150mm MFT lens you can find on Amazon (Click here) and [shoplink 67012 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. Would be nice if Tamron could make more of such MFT lenses…
