We have some exciting announcements ahead of us:

Olympus will have an announcement on October 26:
– 17mm f/1.2
– 45mm f/1.2

Panasonic will have an announcement on November 8:
– New High End MFT camera for photo enthusiast (GX9 or a GH variation)
– Probably the new Leica 50-200mm f/2.8-4.0 (still unconfirmed yet)

LX100 with Garix case

I am pretty certain on November 8th Panasonic will announce a new High End MFT camera made for photo enthusiasts.

But we might get another camera too…a new LX100 successor. I give it 50% chance now. This one is yet not confirmed by trusted sources. But I hope to get a final answer soon…

Reminder: Back in May Panasonic officially confirmed they were working on the new LX100 successor.

This isn’t a sensor made for MFT cameras. But it is still interestiong to see what kind of new tech Sony is implementing on this new Four Thirds sensor made for surveillance cameras:

“The “IMX294CJK” is the first in-house image sensor for security cameras to adopt the Type 4/3 format, and realizes output of the number of pixels needed for 4K at 120 frame/s (in ADC 10-bit output mode). In addition, use of a large-size pixel achieves SNR1s of 0.14 lx*1, and use of a Quad Bayer pixel structure (see Figure 1) realizes an HDR (High Dynamic Range) function with no time difference, enabling video imag-ing with a wide dynamic range”
