Panasonic GH5s now in Stock in the USA. And tested by Dpreview: “results are hugely impressive”

Share

For the very first time the new Panasonic GH5s is in Stock in the USA via BHphoto, Adorama, Amazon, FocusCamera and Panasonic.

And right in time Dpreview published their full GH5s review:

The GH5S is a highly specialized filmmakers’ camera that makes few concessions to anything but this core purpose. An excellent sensor combined with high bitrate, 10-bit 4:2:2 capture means the results are hugely impressive. Add an external recorder and these benefits remain, even for both UHD and DCI 60p capture. The loss of stabilization means it’s limited to gimbal or tripod work but in those circumstances, it shines.

The camera earned the Gold Award and this is their list of PROS and CONS:

Panasonic G9 Field Test I (Imaging Resource).
Panasonic Organic UV Image Sensor (Image Sensor World).
10 Innovative Photographic Accessories for Your Favorite Image Maker (Explora).

Plenty of news on the facebook E-M1II group and the GH5 group.

Karsten:Last week we presented at CMT trade Stuttgart our latest road movie – produced with an Olympus E-M1 Mark II. Now it is available on youtube. We travelled round Gotland by recumbent bikes and discovered the Gotlandsleden, a long distance bicycle trail.

We were amazed about the IS performance. Even on gravel roads we didn’t use any gimbal and were more than satisfied with the Olympus’ results.
Our lenses:
Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8
Panasonic 7-14mm f4.0
Olympus 50-200mm f2.8-3.5
Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f0.95
MfT is definitely our first choose for high quality travel documentations.
