Techinsights confirmed what we already suspected: The new Panasonic GH5s features a Sony sensor with the code “IMX299CJK”.
What may be interesting is that this sensor is actually not exactly the same as the one listed for sale on Sony’s website and named “IMX294CJK”. Probably means Panasonic made his own “tweaks” for their version.
