Nokton 25mm: Next production run in late June.

Image source: review by Peter Lueck

According to Cameraquest (Click here) the next stock of Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 lenses will arrive in late June only: “orders to the factory far exceeded the first production run“.

Form what we have seen during the last months Japan and Germany are the two countries that usually receive most of the produced lenses. Here you have more chance to find them in Stock. Right now you can find 13 lenses in Stock in german ebay stores. There are also a few lenses sold by asian resellers but the price is really to high. Here is the list:

– The german store SHphoto has 8 lenses in Stock on eBay (Click here). Price 899 Euro and worldwide shipment.
– The german store Fotomundus (I bought my Nokton lens from them and I highly recommend to buy from that store) has one lens for sale on eBay (Click here) for 897 Euro (Europe shipment) and three more lenses are in auction on eBay (Click here) for 932 Euro. Shipment worlwide.
– The german store Photoalps is selling one lens on eBay (Click here) for 899 Euro. Shipment worlwide.

  • The Lens produces beautiful pictures and videos. Sadly, it’s still out of my league in terms of price (And it increased!). I hope the Demand encourages Cosina to create more of these M43 Manual Control lenses! I will definitely try to get my hands on one… one day!

900E is a lot. Whats the normal retail price? Dunno if I should wait and go for this expensive lens, or opt instead for a bunch of cheaper lenses (like ultra wides with adapter and that type of gear)

I got the lens brand new for 750E on ebay but still waiting for it. Keep looking and you may get lucky…

  • What the heck. I ordered mine directly from fotomundus today. The price is hefty but with the lens being that rare and in demand, I can always sell it with minimum loss and claim I have tried it – plus, I have seen so many good results and great use cases that I am confident it’s going to be a keeper.

i think 900 euros is a normal price for such quality lens, but indeed you can find it cheaper if searching around. Curious if VC would release a native 50 mm for M43 in the future.

    • TR

Yes, I am also curious to know if they will release a 17mm. A 17, 25, and 50 from VC would be a nice kit.

  • The price depends on the geographic market. In France, Cosina recommended a price of 750 euros, and indeed that’s what I paid for mine (and what Amazon FR asked for it too). In Germany, it seems to be 900 euros (that’s what Amazon DE wanted). So, even in Europe, large differences.

  • I saw it yesterday in a shop in Paris at 749 euros.
