I once more got confirmation that Olympus will announce a new OMD camera in January. And they all said this camera is:

1) Very expensive
2) Built to outshine all current models

I am working to get some early specs of this camera. But Olympus will have to offer something extraordinary to get back the spotlight from the new Nikon Z, Canon EOS-R and Fuji X-T3 cameras. And sources keep hinting to me that yes, it will have some stunning features!

Can’t wait to learn more about it :)

Over at L-rumors I reported about a new rumor on the Panasonic S1 and S1R cameras. Apparently the cameras can outpu RAW video on external recording.

Maybe that’s something we will get on the future GH6 too?

Olympus has officially registered a new battery charger in Korea. Of there is a new battery charger there must be a new camera coming too :)
I guess this could be for the new Tough camera.

And keep in mind a new High End OMD camera will be announced in January too!

The unofficial chatter at Photokina is that Olympus has no intention to “join the FF war” yet. Still, they are open at the idea to enter into the Full Frame market sometimes in the future if they see a chance for growth.

Just my speculation: If Olympus want to go FF they surely can’t do it alone. And I see only two options: L-mount or E-mount. Let me know what you think:
