They say Good Things Come In Threes…well this is the third Olympus Full Frame lens patent! After the 28mm f/2.8 and 35mm f/1.4 Egami also spotted the 24mm f/1.4 patent. Here are the specs:

It’s yet unclear if this is for a new system that Olympus could launch sometimes in the future or if those are lenses designed for a current (Sony E?) system.

We got solid multiple confirmations that Panasonic will have a press event during the first week of April. We expect Panasonic to announce the new entry level G camera and a new Leica branded prime lens. I don’t know if Panasonic will also announce new camcorders for the upcoming NAB event.

The next lens coming from Panasonic is very likely to be a new Leica branded prime lens. No specs are known yet. But the chances are high the lens will be announced in April.

There is a new company named “Irix Lens” that will announce new lenses for Micro Four Thirds at the NEC show in Birmingham (19-22 March). There is yet no detail about the focal length of those new lenses.
