LX100 with Garix case

I am pretty certain on November 8th Panasonic will announce a new High End MFT camera made for photo enthusiasts.

But we might get another camera too…a new LX100 successor. I give it 50% chance now. This one is yet not confirmed by trusted sources. But I hope to get a final answer soon…

Reminder: Back in May Panasonic officially confirmed they were working on the new LX100 successor.

A Trusted source told us that Panasonic will announce a new High End Camera on November 8 (+/- 1 day depending on where you live). This is a camera for pure photographers. But sources have yet not told me if this is a successor of the current GX8 or if it’s a GH camera trimmed for photographers.

I do hope this camera will bring some kind of new tech and a brand new sensor. That would be exciting or not? :)

The public NCC agency from Taiwan registered a new Olympus camera with the code “IM008”. In this document the following details are unveiled:

• Battery: BLS-50
• Battery charger: BCS-5
• USB cable: CB-USB 12

I am 100% certain this is a new PEN camera. But it will not be announced on the October 25-26 event. It will be announced in early 2018.

I am 100% sure Panasonic will announce a new High End Photo oriented camera in November. And a source just sent me this:

“They are trying to follow sony with the A7 series.
So Flavours of GH5.

GH5 for Stills
GH5 Low Light etc

Not sure if they all will be announced at the same time.”

So this might not be a GX9 but a GH5 variation? Let’s see if we can get few more details the upcoming days…

Yesterday I reported that Panasonic has a major product announcement in November. Well sources gave me a “hint” about what’s coming. This is a new High End MFT camera for photographers. While they did not tell me the camera model yet I suspect this could be the new GX9 or a new LX200.

One of the sources wrote that in Europe we will get “BIG destocking in the few days of the GX8“. The current GX8 is over two years old and it would make sense for Panasonic to announce the successor.

While specs are yet unknown I do hope this isn’t just an incremental update with the usual 20MP sensor. Would be nice for once to get something a bit more…exciting.

Trusted sources told us Panasonic organized a major press event in November. It’s unclear yet what kind of product will be announced but usually we can expect at least one new camera. We also can expect the final launch of the new Leica 50-200mm f/2.8-4.0.

The new 17mm and 45mm f/1.2 PRO lenses will be announced on October 26 at the PhotoPlus show in NYC. I do not expect any new Olympus camera to be announced on that day.
