UPDATED: First Noktor image samples (aperture test)

I just received the new Noktor 50mm f/0.95 lens. I don’t have time today to review the lens (I will test the lens this weekend) but I could not resist to share some of the first pictures I have taken today.

I have taken three shots with different aperture (taken with the Olympus E-P1 -> maximal quality jpg without any post-processing)

Leica 25mm f/1.4 reviewed on photozone: New resolution record!

The well known german website photozone tested the Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 Four Thirds Lens: “The Summilux has a highly unusual resolution characteristic. It seems to be “Noct-like” (the Noct-Nikkor 58mm f/1.2 is a legend here) which means that it is exceedingly sharp at large apertures but it doesn’t really get much better when stopping down. In fact the lens broke the old resolution record of our previous 4/3 tests and that’s by QUITE a margin … at f/2!

Check out the lens on Amazon or Ebay.

Message to Panasonic: Make a MicroFourThirds version of that lens and I bet that many of our readers will buy it!

Next detailed Olympus 9-18mm review on quesabesde

The spanish website quesabesde tested the new Olympus 9-18mm lens (google english translation).

Their sentences in short:
– surprised by the smallness of their size, both length and diameter (but it becomes very long when you are at 9mm)
– fast autofocus (compared with older Olympus MFT lenses)
– 9 mm shows a significant distortion
– best results working with an aperture of f/8
– almost no vignetting
– moderate CA (Chromatic aberration)
