We used two cameras while shooting the trailer: Panasonic G70 and Panasonic DVX 200. The last one is only distantly related to mft cameras but has the same sensor of the GH4. We needed this cam because of its great power in slow motion capturing. The G70 was an ideal addition to it. Small, lightweight and easy to handle. Image quality and look are nearly the same compared to its big brother DVX 200. But shooting from stage traverses is a job you can´t manage with a cam of nearly 4 kilogramms.”

Olympus CEO Hiroyuki Sasa had a talk with Bloomberg (article here). Of course the main talk is about the big profitable medical business. But Sasa also said one good news about the camera business. To quote Bloomberg “After a number of losing quarters the camera business is now in a position to turn a profit, Sasa said.”

Olympus patented a new les design for two crazy cool MFT tele zooms:

1) 300-500mm f/2.8-4.0 MFT lens  (33,8 cm lens lenght)
2) 200-300mm f/2.8-4.0 MFT lens (22,8 cm lens lenght)

For comparison: The current Olympus 300mm f/4.0 PRO lens has a length of 22,7cm. The 300-500mm MFT lens would be 10cm longer. I think Olympus should really bring that one on the market! So let’s make a poll:
