New 28mm f/6.3 MoMo Soft Focus Lens on Kickstarter

You know Yasuhara because of their rather unique Nanoha 5:1 Macro MFT Lens. They now launched a new Kickstarter project to finance their 28mm f/6.3 MoMO Soft Focus MFT lens:

Yasuhara a Japanese lens maker, just launched their MoMo Soft Focus Pancake Lens for digital cameras on Kickstarter. The MoMo Lens is based on the single meniscus lens used in the Vest Pocket Kodak (VPK) camera from 100 years ago. It is designed to achieve the same dreamy, soft focus pictures with the convenience of today’s digital cameras.
The soft focus on the MoMo Lens is set at F6.4, but users can adjust the aperture through F22 to control the power of its effect. MoMo Lenses will work with mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It will be available with mounts for Micro Four Thirds, Sony NEX, Canon-EF or Nikon F-Series, and eventually Canon EOS-M as well as Fuji X cameras. Further specifications provided below:

Chuck:I know you show videos made from M43 cameras. Here’s one I made with for our school. It’s about State funding so any publicity helps! If anything it’s at least cool to show for the TrackX features where I embedded video on the walls taken of the computers/iPads the students were using.

Laurent:I went to Yodobashi Camera Kyoto this morning, and played (a bit) with the new GX7 Mark II. Unlike previous Lumix camera, that came with a Japanese-only
interface/menu, the GX7 Mark II is multilingual : Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese. Unless I’m wrong, it’s the first time Panasonic Japan offers a Lumix with multilingual menu since the GM1S.

Lorenzo:I have just completed my latest documentary, Living the Weather. It is composed of 5 chapters on weather and seasons in a West Yorkshire valley. I filmed it in 4K with a Panasonic GH4 and Olympus and Panasonic lenses. It features 5x 5 minute sequence shots made with DJI Ronin M and Olympus 7-14/2.8 at its widest.
