Last year at CES Sharp did show a new 8k Micro Four Thirds mount prototype camera. This year they did display the production ready version and they said they will ship the camera to Japan first during the second half of the year. Here are some specs:

8K 30p
4k 60p (200Mbits/s at 10bit)
5.5 inch fully articulating touch display
Full size HDMi out (last year prototype didn’t have it)
Mini XLR input
Headphone and Audio Jack
Price under $4,000

Oh yes it ain’t dead yet! The Sharp 8K Micro Four Thirds camera miraculously resurfaced at this years CES show. Loop Infinito reports the camera will hit the market this year for a price just under $4,000. The camera records 8k30p and 4k60p
