The next sensor size debate: ThePhoBlographer vs Daniel Cox

ThePhoBlographer recently wrote:

When I talk about small sensor cameras, I’m talking about both APS-C and Micro Four Thirds. All the best features end up with full-frame cameras first, and the APS-C cameras aren’t given enough to make them really relevant.

Daniel Cox answer is:

I don’t think anyone can argue that Olympus is behind the curve regarding state-of-the-art features. Pro Capture in RAW, focus stacking, IP53 weather protection, Starry Sky AF, and the other tools I mentioned prove the fallacy in the comment, “Small Sensor Cameras Suck.” In fact, the unique features mentioned above and the size, price, and mobility of OM-1’s Industry Leading Technology keep me firmly committed to the MFT cause, particularly to OM System.

My personal take is that sensor size is only one of the many aspects of a camera. The Fuji X100VI is selling like hotcakes even if it’s APS-C and fixed lens only. I do believe the overall experience is what really matters.

OMDS says it is shifting to become an outdoor company making imaging products.

DigitalcameraWorld had a chat with OM Digital:

We were told of the plan to concentrate on promoting OM System as the obvious choice for any outdoor-type photography thanks to the portability of the cameras and lenses. OMDS says it is shifting to become an outdoor company making imaging products. The term “outdoors” encompasses wildlife, macro, landscape, travel and adventure.

Yep, this is what they often stated in previous interviews. But I want to add that the PEN-FII would be a perfect “travel” camera ;)
