Unexpected: New YN450 Camera will use a Panasonic 16MP Four Thirds sensor

Now this is a bit unexpected: The new Youngnou YN450 Camera will use a Panasonic 16MP Four Thirds sensor. But it’s unclear yet if this means it will have an MFT mount too. All Yongnou says is that it will be compatible with Canon lenses. But my guess is that it’s only a marketing phrase to say you can adapt Canon lenses on it. I am pretty sure this small smartphone alike Android camera can have a native EF mount!

Ray:I received my BMPCC4K last Monday and have kitted it out with fairly affordable, yet excellent quality components. To that end, I’ve written a blog posts and produced a short video on the camera rig I’ve put together and it works extremely well: https://australianimage.com.au/blackmagic-pocket-cinema-camera-4k-pt-3/.”

(FT5) The new Olympus E-M1X is a “Canon 1dx level” camera. Has built-in vertical grip!

The current E-M1II vs the Canon 1DX (via CameraSize).

Another trusted source who saw the camera told me the new E-M1X is a “Canon 1dx level” camera. It means it’s oriented for serious sports photographer and it has an integrated vertical grip! I am working to get some specs and also detailed info on the rumored “unique” features this camera will have. Olympus will throw in a lot of innovation in this camera also to show what’s possible to achieve with a MFT camera.

As reported previously this camera will be announced in January!
