Now this is a bit unexpected: The new Youngnou YN450 Camera will use a Panasonic 16MP Four Thirds sensor. But it’s unclear yet if this means it will have an MFT mount too. All Yongnou says is that it will be compatible with Canon lenses. But my guess is that it’s only a marketing phrase to say you can adapt Canon lenses on it. I am pretty sure this small smartphone alike Android camera can have a native EF mount!

It’s confirmed folks! Olympus registered a new camera model with built-in grip at Fccid.io. And the agency reports the exact size of the camera:

E-M1X is 144.37 x 146.765 x 75.345mm

By Comparison this is the size of other cameras:
E-M1 Mark II: 134.1 x 90.9 x 68.9mm
Canon EOS-1D X Mark II: 158.0 x 167.6 x 82.6mm or
Nikon D5: 160.0 x 158.5 x 92.0mm.

Another trusted source who saw the camera told me the new E-M1X is a “Canon 1dx level” camera. It means it’s oriented for serious sports photographer and it has an integrated vertical grip! I am working to get some specs and also detailed info on the rumored “unique” features this camera will have. Olympus will throw in a lot of innovation in this camera also to show what’s possible to achieve with a MFT camera.

As reported previously this camera will be announced in January!
