Panasonic patented the design of new travel zoom MFT lens. It’s a 12-100mm f/4.0-5.8 MFT. There is also a slightly bigger version 12-115mm f/4.0-5.8. Panasonic writes about the lens:
“The present disclosure provides a compact and lightweight zoom lens system having a short overall length of lens system as well as excellent optical performance.”

As you know Sony had to stop their sensor production in Kumamoto due the damages caused by the April earthquake. The good news is that Sony officialy released a press text in which they say they will resume full operations on May 21.
The Kumamoto facility produces most of the digital camera sensors. That’s why olympus had to delay the E-Pl8 camera launch as this camera uses Sony sensors made in Kumamoto.

Gonzalo: “Last April I had the chance to attend a Buddhist Monk Ordination in Eastern Thailand, and during the 2 days that the ceremony lasted I tried to capture all the different stages of the ritual to portray it in a comprehensive way. All the images were taken with the GH3 and the Nocticron without any ND filter, which made it difficult to use the lens wide open under such sunny tropical skies. You can see (and read) the full story here: http://gonzalobroto.blogspot.com/2016/04/making-merit-monks-ordination-in.html”

Taiwanese company STC is working with Olympus Taiwan to design a screw-in filter holder for Olympus 7-14mm f2.8 PRO. The holder takes an 105mm filter. Currently their CPL shows slight vignetting, but the newly designed ND filter could possibly avoid that. They’re still not sure if they should make an ND4, ND8, ND16…maybe your readers can help advise on this ;) They also say it’s possible (and easier) to make one for Pana 7-14mm. Based on the comments, this will be available at the end of next month at least in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Not sure if it will be available elsewhere, though.
