I guess Olympus understimated the popularity of this lens and they didn’t produce enough of those. Both Amazon US (Click here) and Amazon Germany (Click here) now do report a shipment time of 1-2 months for the lens.

Olympus patented a new les design for two crazy cool MFT tele zooms:
1) 300-500mm f/2.8-4.0 MFT lens (33,8 cm lens lenght)
2) 200-300mm f/2.8-4.0 MFT lens (22,8 cm lens lenght)
For comparison: The current Olympus 300mm f/4.0 PRO lens has a length of 22,7cm. The 300-500mm MFT lens would be 10cm longer. I think Olympus should really bring that one on the market! So let’s make a poll:
